Heritage Coffee and Bicycles came to OutCold with an idea and an RV - an RV with character and charm.

The OutCold planning, design and fabrication teams worked with the Heritage brand team, baristas and coffee production specialists to strike a clean balance between providing a mobile canvas that would serve as a coffee production studio and an extended footprint that would allow for bicycle repairs while you wait. With a healthy mix of vision and elbow grease, we transformed this 1970’s RV (complete with factory insulation, wood panel walls and carpet that was never meant to survive 40+ years, into a mobile coffee shop.

Inclusive of mobile generator installation, 120v and 12v re-wiring, water and waste tank implementation, filtration systems, custom-cut order and service windows, flooring, walls, lighting…we would like to introduce you to #HeritageOnTheLake.

However, it must be said that the company is called “Heritage” for a reason. So, albeit a total gut job, the transformation process accounted for maintaining some core elements of the original exterior as well as the interior driver’s compartment. These strategic decisions were positioned to align with the brand’s character and winning formula that has made them so successful with their target consumer across all of the Heritage Bicycles outposts, coffee shops, gear and apparel lines.

If you find yourself in need of a caffeine fix, get out and visit the full-service mobile coffee and bike RV on the Lakefront Trail near The Theatre on the Lake at Fullerton and Lake Shore Drive in Chicago. Open daily from 7am to 4pm daily and the Bike Hours are 9am to 4pm Friday through Sunday.
